Developments, Part 2

She's started exploring. Cords, apparently, are her new favorite thing, and I am constantly trying to hide them, get them off the floor, and pull her away from them. Of course, she's also figured out where we keep her toys, and she has all sorts of fun pulling the little boxes off the shelf and pulling all her toys out of them. So much fun! She wanders into the kitchen, and under the keyboard, and tries to pull garbages over on her. So, yes, I am spending more of my time chasing around a little girl, but she's growing and loving it, so I can't complain too much. :)

In the meantime... we've made another offer on a house! We found one in Highland that is in our price range (mostly) and that will be worth a lot more in a few years with a little work. Right now it has 3 bedrooms, a decent kitchen/dining room, a cute living room with a real fireplace, one bathroom, and an unfinished basement with the workings for a laundry room, living room, storage area, and 2-3 more bedrooms. It also has a 2-car carport and a large yard that has been completely overrun by fruit trees. The first floor has been completely redone with new paint, flooring, and counters. It's still in need of a refrigerator, but that's workable. It's move-in ready, and provides the opportunity for much work, which I want. Anyway, we should know in a few days whether or not we'll be moving in two weeks. Yay!

Developments

The most exciting news, first off, is that Cara now crawls forward! According to experts everywhere, my life is now going to consist of constantly chasing a baby around. :) So far it hasn't been bad. She still sleeps quite a bit, and she isn't terribly consistent about crawling yet. Often she'll go a few steps, then sit up and play with a toy. I do have to be more careful about what I leave laying on the ground, though...

The other news regards the house hunt. So far, we've found a house in Springville that needs a lot of work but that feels like home. Ryan's already figured out where the Christmas tree goes. :) We tried to make an offer on it over the weekend, but there are issues with that at this point. It's fun and stressful all at the same time.
