The Biggest Thing in Life

Right now, it's the heat. Oppressive is what it is. Disgusting. Sunshiny. Nauseating. Sticky. Summer's good and all, but enough already! Blech! Give me fall colors and sweater weather any day.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Cheers!

I hear it's pretty hot out there this year! But at least you don't have the humidity we do here! I jest, actually, because I love the humidity--as long as I can stay indoors most of the time!

Do you have AC or swamp?

WV yodowel--when people from the American South yodel.
Or that stick you need from your friend--Hey, Jack, give me yo' dowel.

Sadly, no. There was a swamp cooler on the roof, but when we bought the house, the inspector told us to never turn it on because it hadn't been winterized properly. So, we didn't. Then, the first weekend that it rained after we moved in, we discovered that the thing leaked into the hallway. After talking with the neighbors, we discovered that it had been leaking for over 5 years. We took it off. It took us one day.

However, we do have a litte window a/c unit coming in a week or so. That'll help, at least. In the meantime, we keep all the ceiling fans running and open the windows at night.

I think I would like the humidity, too. I hate the dry desert!

I knew I'd been truly Floridized when I walked out one day and it was 82 degrees and 76% humidity and I went "Ahhh... this is perfect weather."
